Who am I?

My name is Kevin Portmann. I was born and raised in Evian, France. Growing up, I loved participating in various sports such as alpine skiing, table tennis, tennis, soccer, and pretty much any sport I could find. Later on, I moved to Boston, MA for my studies and eventually started a career in Finance in New York City. I lived there from 2010 to 2016 and it was during this time that I discovered my passion for triathlon.

In 2012, I competed in the New York City triathlon and raised funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This experience made me take triathlon more seriously. 4 years later, in 2016, I won Ironman Coeur d'Alene, although the race only had an age group field that year.

I now live in Carlsbad, CA with my wife, my son Atlas, and our awesome fur ball Bentley.

That same year my wife and I decided to relocate to Southern California. From there, I took the step to compete in triathlon professionally starting in 2017. In 2020, I decided to utilize my experience in the sport and begin my own coaching business, and obtained my USA Triathlon certification the same year and began coaching athletes.

This journey has been incredibly exciting for me. I find immense joy in working with athletes and assisting them in reaching their goals. It is a deeply gratifying experience to be a part of their progress and see them succeed.
